AETHYRA

The last light of a forgotten world.

A 4K short film running a minute and a second, made entirely without a camera, a location or a shoot day. Every shot in it was built digitally — the architecture, the lighting, the atmosphere and the movement — and then cut and scored like any film. This is what we mean when we say we make films without filming.

How it was made

The idea and the script

A world abandoned a long time ago and the last light left in it. Written as a visual treatment before anything was built.

The scenes were built digitally

Every scene designed from nothing: the architecture, the materials, the haze, and the virtual camera move.

The light is the lead

The whole film runs on one moving light source, so the feeling is built with light rather than with dialogue.

Sound and edit

Sound design, score and a cut on the beat — the part that turns shots into a film.

What it proves

If this was made without a camera, your product's ad does not need a studio, a shoot day or a production budget.
